Today is the Environment Day 🌍

World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 each year.

This year the theme is the loss of biodiversity which, with climate change, is an environmental and social emergency.

I would like you to watch this video.

Please, listen to this song. It put tears in my eyes but, unfortunatelly, it is reality.

Finally, you are going to do a craft activity. I´m going to show you a video with a nice idea, but feel free if you want to be creative and do something different.

When you finish it, take a picture and send it to your English teacher before Friday 12th June

How are you doing?

Let´s begin correcting the homework you did last Wednesday.

Now it´s time to do an experiment.

Open your class book to page 15.

In this experiment you will see how gastric juices disolve food in the stomach.

The vinegar is going to act like those gastric juices.

You must write in your notebook the ingredients you need to do the experiment, and then copy the table.

In the table, you will complete the first column with your predictions (1)

Then, it´s time to follow the instruction to do the experiment (2, 3)

Everyday you will have to take a look at the glasses, and record in the table the time (days) it takes for the food portions to disolve. (Real time for portions to disolve)

Finally, when all of them are disolved you will have to do the "Analysis of your results" answering the questions in a word document.

Take a picture of the chart and send the analysis of your result to your English teacher.

Be very careful and remember, in words like "Spain" you mustn´t pronounce ~~/espein/~~

You are going to do a project about your experience during lockdown called MY 2020 COVID-19 TIME CAPSULE

It´s going to take you two English lessons, because of that, it´s very important that you do it nicely.

When you finish it, you have to give it to your parents and they must keep it in a safe place for at least 6 years. 📅
Maybe it sounds silly to you but, I promise you will have very good memories when you are 18 and read it.

Remember, if you cannot print the worksheets, you can copy them in a piece of paper, so that you can keep them easily.

Did you know there are many food pyramids❔

Have you ever heard about de NAOS pyramid❓

The Spanish NAOS Pyramid shows the different food groups, classified for recommended frequency of consumption.
In the same level – which means same frequency – you can see diferent types of physical activities such as walking, cycling, swimming, playing, climbing stairs, walking dogs, etc.
The objectives are to foster physical activity to improve health and prevent obesity.
